Monthly Dinner Meeting

September 19, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Please join us at the next South Placer Estate Planning Council (SPEPC) Speaker & Dinner meeting. Our new September 19 presenter is Heather Gross, Vice President and Trust Officer with U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management. Heather brings her 10+ years experience as an estate planning/trust administration attorney combined with her current position as a trust officer in the wealth management department of one of the nation’s top 10 largest banks. Her topic is:

“How the Administration of a Special Needs Trust Should Affect Your Drafting of it”

In today’s society we want to support those in our lives who are unable to manage their own money, even after we have passed away. The Special Needs Trust is an excellent tool for providing that support to individuals with special needs. However, some estate planning attorneys are adding Special Needs Trusts into many trusts as a safety net. There are pros and cons to Special Needs Trusts and they are not right for all clients. Understanding how a Special Needs Trust is administered, when just the Trustee and the Beneficiary are left standing, will help you better advise your clients. Heather Gross will explore these issues and answer your questions.

Registration deadline is Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 12 noon (one week before the event).
