Undue Influence – Through the Eyes of the Victimizer – Register now!
This Month’s Speaker:
Dr. Glenn Hammell, Clinical Neuropschologist
Dr. Glenn Hammel is a Clinical Neuropsychologist, specializing in geriatrics and forensics. His work has focused on explaining, in compassionate and common-sense terms, how the conditions of aging impact brain functioning, vulnerability to elder abuse, well-aging, and long-term care needs.
Dr. Hammel has spoken at seminars sponsored by organizations such as the American Society on Aging, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Professional Fiduciaries Association, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Young President’s Organization. His extensive clinical experience with the problems and opportunities associated with aging has made him a leading forensic expert as the Courts strive to balance an elder’s right to autonomy with society’s duty to protect. Dr. Hammel was appointed by the California State Senate to the Council on Mentally Ill Offenders. He is co-author of the current edition of Capacity and Undue Influence: Assessing, Challenging, and Defending.
