This Month’s Speaker:
Jamie Furlong, Bangerter Financial
About the Speaker:
Jamie Furlong is a securitized real estate specialist at Bangerter Financial Services. Most of Jamie’s clients are in, or considering, a 1031 exchange, and rely on her to help them navigate the complexities and time restrictions in the ever-changing 1031 environment.
Because she holds a securities license, Jamie can help real estate investors understand the lesser known options that exist for their highly appreciated real property including Delaware Statutory Trust investments and Opportunity Zone funds.
Jamie Furlong is a graduate of the University of Southern California where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics. Jamie holds a series 22 license.
About the Presentation:
Many investors and advisors are familiar with the benefits of real estate investing, including Section 1031 of the United States Internal Revenue Code which allows one to defer recognition of capital gains and related federal income tax liability on the exchange of real property. A 1031 exchange may help your clients preserve their capital, generate income, leverage tax benefits, and simplify the transition of their wealth to their heirs, but how comfortable are you when talking to your clients about a 1031 exchange?
In this one-hour program, Jamie will share with you five 1031 exchange rules that may help your clients avoid common 1031 exchange pitfalls. She will also introduce the Delaware Statutory Trust as an estate planning tool for real estate investors who own highly appreciated properties. The program will conclude with a discussion on concerns that 1031 exchanges may be changing soon, as well as a Q&A segment.

Jamie Furlong is a of Registered Representative and securities offered through Concorde Investment Services, Inc. (CIS), member FINRA/SIPC. Bangerter Financial Services, Inc. is independent of CIS.
